This privacy policy explains what information IDC Engineering collects when you sign up for the Data Collaboration Program for our 3D-to-2D drawing creation service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01 Who we are
IDC Engineering ("IDC", "we", "us") operates the Data Collaboration Program described on this page. For questions about this policy or your information, write to aidraft@idc-tech.com.
02 Information we collect
When you submit the collaboration sign-up form, we collect the details you provide: your name, work email address, phone number, company name, primary design tool, and the description you write about your work and industry. We also collect basic technical information from your browser (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) for security and to understand how the page is used.
03 How we use your information
We use the information you submit to:
- Contact you about the Data Collaboration Program and follow up with next steps
- Evaluate whether your use case is a fit for the program
- Coordinate any data collaboration you agree to participate in
- Give you access to the drawing creation service as it becomes available
- Meet our legal, tax and compliance obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
04 Data you share during collaboration
If you choose to share CAD models, drawings or other engineering data with us as part of the collaboration, that data is handled under a separate written agreement (such as a non-disclosure or data-sharing agreement) that we will put in place before any transfer. Nothing on the sign-up page itself asks you to share confidential or proprietary design data.
05 Who we share it with
We share the information only with:
- IDC Engineering staff who need it to run the program
- Service providers who host our systems, send email, or store records on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect your information
- Authorities or advisors when we are legally required, or to defend our legal rights
06 How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up details for as long as we are in contact with you about the program, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so, subject to any legal obligation to retain it.
07 How we protect it
We use technical and organisational measures — access controls, encryption in transit, and secure hosting — that are appropriate for the sensitivity of the information. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask you not to send confidential design data through the sign-up form itself.
08 Your choices and rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to receive a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email aidraft@idc-tech.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also ask us at any time to stop contacting you about the program.
09 International transfers
IDC Engineering may store or process your information in countries other than the one you live in. Where we do, we take steps to make sure it continues to be protected in line with this policy.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date. If the change is significant, we will let you know by email.
